Overview
George Mann (US) is a songwriter's singer sharing stories and songs from the long history of folk music, and his own songs are powerful and funny takes on the nation. He has produced albums featuring such folk music legends as Utah Phillips, Pete Seeger and Tom Paxton, and produced national tours of the US and Australia in honor of The Almanac Singers (2013) and Joe Hill (2015). In 2025 he released “Ghosts of the Old West” with Australian Mick Coates, and his new album with folk legend Si Kahn, “Mayday!” was released in July 2026. He toured Ireland, England and Australia in 2025, performing in five festivals and dozens of folk clubs, union halls and churches. A warm and engaging performer with great songs and stories to match, George brings the “folk” to folk music!
